They did a good job. They did what they said they were going to do, the price was right, they were
helpful, they did it on time and I got what I asked for. I got lino laid in one room, two rooms carpeted and four blinds fitted. He
measured it all and said we’d have to wait to get the lino, but it was only about a week by the time they’d done the quote and got
it all in, so that was pretty good. I think the lino got laid a day late, but that was just because the guys were busy, so that was
alright. I got a couple of quotes and all of them were not too bad, but these guys were local and I like going local if I can. They
helped me out with ideas for colour schemes, they told me what carpet was hard-wearing and they showed me the lino range.
I’ve been dealing with them since the 80’s. I just like the people that work there and I’ve always
liked them. They were just easy to talk to and they helped me make decisions on which would be better for my needs; they’re
always very good at explaining which carpet to get, which colour to choose and which ones would suit the house. The people in
the store now are just lovely; they’re always smiling and cheerful and easy to get along with, they value your business and treat
you like a person, rather than just another customer. The products have been consistent throughout the years; they’ve always
offered really good quality products that last for years and years, and the prices are always very reasonable .
They just provided very prompt and punctual service. They were really quick at getting quotes
back to me, which was good. They didn’t take very long either; usually it was within the day. They were also quick when they
came out to measure the home and give us quotes. All the guys that were there were not too bad. I mainly dealt with Jeff, and
he was very polite. I wanted some tiles laid down and they organised some subcontractors to do the job. They also have
competitive prices and are a few hundred dollars cheaper than some other places.
There were no hassles. I ordered the carpet and they put it down for me, so the job was done
and that’s all that matters to me. The sales guy at the counter was very helpful, but a carpet layer is a carpet layer. We gave the
sales guy a budget range and he let us know what was in the store. He just did his job, no hassles. Nothing else really stood out.
It was just a matter of dealing locally really, and I don’t believe there’s an awful lot of competition anyway .
The service was good. They were there when they said they were going to be there and they
cleaned up after themselves. Everything was A1, so I wouldn’t go past them. They laid the lino in the kitchen and did the carpet
in the bedrooms. When they came out, they said they’d be able to do it within the next couple of weeks. They were there on the
second Thursday and they had it done within a day.
They were prompt and they did a good job on our floor and our carpets . There was nothing
specific about the work; they just did a good job overall. They were on time when they said they would be and they arrived with
all the materials. There was a very good selection at the shop; they had a big range of carpet and timber.
They did a really good quality job and I think it was a fair price . The carpet was installed correctly
and it hasn’t pulled up, or whatever carpet does when it’s not installed properly. Sometimes in a small town, because businesses
don’t have the same volume of customers prices can be higher, but I think it was a reasonable quote . The only feedback I really
have is that they sent one person to do the job, so it took basically the entire day. I think they were there from morning through
to evening, so it was a bit of an inconvenience to us. They were doing two full rooms. I felt that had they had sent a second
person it would have been easier on them and also wouldn’t have taken as long. They were there for more than five hours.
I had no problem with them at all; all I wanted was some carpet in my mum’s place. Carpet Court
provide a good product and they offered some good advice; I had an idea about what sort of carpet we should get and when we
went there to talk to a salesperson, they showed us a different type which was not only better quality, but was also cheaper,
which I thought was really good; they showed me that they weren’t just there to sell me the most expensive item, they wanted to
make sure I was getting the best possible product at the best price, they were very genuine and honest. They also got the carpet
laid for me in a really good amount of time too; it was all completed within the timeframe that I was quoted.
They provided really good service and gave me a competitive quote . They were very friendly,
efficient and they turned up when they said they would. They were happy and we had a nice conversation and they greeted and
treated me well. I got what I ordered and there were mistakes with the product I required. They arranged for the installation and
the installer was very capable. I got a quote from another flooring place in Yamba and Carpet Court’s was cheaper by about
$1,200.
We weren’t there when the carpet was laid, our daughter supervised that, so I couldn’t really say
anything about that side of it. They were good in the store though; they were very courteous and helpful. The gentleman who
served us there went out of his way to find different things that he thought would be suitable for us, or more suitable than what
we had already looked at. He spent a good amount of time with us. He did find something more suitable that didn’t work quite as
well as we had hoped, but it still worked well. It was just that he was courteous all the time; the questions we asked were
answered and we were quite happy with the answers we got, as well as the way he answered them.
The price was good for what we were looking for and the service was good . There’s not a lot of
choice in a small town. They did what they said they were going to do and they did it on time. They were recarpeting a three
bedroom house. We’re not there often because it’s more of a holiday house, so they had to work around when we were there,
but they were happy to come and do that. We thought it was a good price for the product; I didn’t look anywhere else in Yamba,
but I looked on the Gold Coast and expected the price to be more expensive in a small town, but it wasn’t. We did go back to
them for a quote on some vertical blinds, but we went with another company called B&K Blinds because Carpet Court’s price on
the blinds was more expensive.
They did a good job. They were very helpful with moving furniture around and they let us know
times and dates. They were reliable when they decided on those times and dates and they stuck to them. We’re still waiting for
them to come and fix something that they didn’t do properly, but they haven’t got back to us . That’s the only complaint I have
about them. We had vinyl planks put down and there’s one that’s right in the middle that wasn’t put completely together, so
there’s a gap.
They did what I wanted them to, so I have no complaints and no reason not to score them highly .
I got the lino laid on time and when we agreed it would be done, so that was good. It was done about a month from when I
ordered it, which is what we had pre-arranged. Nothing else really stood out to me; it was a fine experience and I have nothing
negative to say.
They service from Ray and Geoff was brilliant, so I have no complaints . Everything they advised
us was going to happen, it happened. I wasn’t there when the carpet was laid, but it just worked into our schedule and that’s
what was important to us. We asked for it to be laid in a particular week and that was done, so that was great . We weren’t living
there yet, so we thought it would be a bit harder. Ray came and measured up for the blinds, then they came out and hung the
blinds in the same week that we asked them to.
They did two jobs and both were great. They came to price the two jobs originally, and within a
short time they were back to do it because we needed it done before Christmas. Nothing was a problem for them. I think from
when Ray O’Brien came out and measured, we were able to get the job done quicker than what he thought. It only took about
five or seven days, whereas he thought it would be within a fortnight. I think they had the carpet in stock, so that would have
helped. There was a lady with a two day job who cancelled, so they were able to slot us in which was great.
When Geoff comes to give a quote, he’s very calm and he doesn’t push anything, so I find him
easy to deal with. He’s customer friendly and he’s got the old fashioned personal skills. We had an experience here with the air
conditioning person where we wanted a certain type of air conditioner that the company sold, but he pushed another brand on
us so we got sucked in, bought it and weren’t happy, whereas Geoff did not push any particular brand, but understood from
talking to me that I wanted quality. I was happy with Carpet Court’s high quality carpet, rather than going to Bremworth which is
more expensive for the same thing. He took his time and didn’t rush me. He also pointed me in the right direction and we got the
carpet we wanted. Previously we had the wood laid that looks like vinyl and the tradesman did a beautiful job. The guys in the
shop can be nice, but if the tradesman doesn’t do a good job you won’t be happy. There was a delay and we found out that his
apprentice had broken his leg playing footy, so we understood . There was a bit of carpet that was cut wrong by whoever it was
and it was too narrow, but the tradesman said it was good carpet and could stretch . I asked how I would know if it’s right and he
said he’d tell me. He tried it and said it wouldn’t do it, so I thought if he was shonky then he could easily have done something
shonky there, but he hadn’t.
They were really helpful and calm. I got carpet for three bedrooms in the house and they held onto
the carpets until each room was ready to be carpeted. They then laid the carpets down, and they did a good job of it. They were
really nice. They came when they said they would and I can rely on them for that in the future now.
They were very good. I suppose that they were very trustworthy; when they put the bamboo floor in
for me, I was away, but I was told that the chap was very reliable and honest . I heard from elsewhere as well that he was a really
nice guy. I chose the flooring, but I was going away and a lot of things were happening at the same time. I had water damage
too, so it wasn’t a quick job. It took a long time; it ended up taking about six weeks. It wasn’t entirely their fault though, so I’m not
pointing any fingers or anything; it was always going to be lengthy.
I had to get someone else to come and put another door on, so that cost more money. To buy the
new door and have it put on, it cost me about $200. He was laying the carpet, but he had to take the door off because some had
to be cut off the bottom. The bloke that I bought it off was good and the guy who laid it was lovely, but I just thought he could
have put the door back on. It was easier to get a new door because the old one was hard to cut. The bloke who I bought it off
was helpful and approached me in the store, which I thought was good.
We bought quite a bit of floating floor from them and they were very helpful . Nothing was too much
trouble for them. When we needed to have it measured he came out to do that. We didn’t have enough money to do the lot at
once, so he came out and gave us two different quotes, one for each section . We appreciated that.
They looked after me pretty well and they did a pretty good job . They looked after me the way I
expected to be looked after. They put the carpet in when they were supposed to and charged me what they were supposed to.
I’m a builder and I’ve put carpet in two hundred-odd houses, so I know they did it properly.
They could improve on their punctuality. The blinds that I ordered took a long time to come
through; they took about two months from the time that I ordered them to arrive. I had to ring them up just to make sure that
they were still coming. I do like the range though; there are plenty of things to choose from. I also like the friendliness of the staff
there; they’re generally easy going people and they were very welcoming.
We live in Yamba, so we know the guys there. They’re nice people and they go out of their way for you.
They did everything for us. They arrived on time and I had no problems with them.
There wouldn’t be much that they could improve. Their service was good. The only downside was
that the layers came out with the wrong underlay; after my wife had been explicit about wanting the best underlay, they came out
with the cheapest. It was a simple matter to go back to exchange it though and they still got it done within the day. They knew
their products well and answered all our questions. We asked about quality compared to price and they helped steer us towards
the good quality carpets that were on special at the time. They also explained the different types of underlay and they were very
good with that. They had a big range and the store was well laid out; it was spacious and had an upstairs area, which allowed
them to display a lot of stock and let people stand back to look at it. They had a much bigger display than other shops we’d
looked at.
There’s nothing that they could really improve. Yamba is a very small place, so we give our people
to the local people. They’re very pleasant and nice to do business with. They’re friendly and they’re helpful and they gave us
plenty of suggestions. I can’t think of exactly what they said, though. Overall the experience was fine though and I have no
complaints.
They could do with a wider product selection, but the service was acceptable . It’s just a personal
thing, I felt a little limited in my choices. I didn’t have anything that I was specifically after, but they didn’t have anything that
made me go “Fantastic, that’s exactly what I want!” They turned up when they said they would to measure and they were
accommodating with the time; they did their best to fit in with my schedule.
They were pretty good. We’ve used them before, but it’s a bit hard to give someone a ten; nobody
is perfect. The range there was pretty good; it was more than adequate for the products we were looking for. I would say we
were a fairly average customer for the area in terms of what we wanted. They have a good variety of different types of floor
covering; different price ranges, different qualities and different standards .
They could have a bit more charisma, I suppose. It was all good though really, so I have nothing
bad to say. I needed carpet and they were there, so that’s why I chose them. One guy was good and the other guy was probably
not as much of a people person I suppose, but they were helpful enough. We had a budget and they made it fit that budget, so
we got the best carpet that we could afford. The first time I went in I felt that the guy might possibly have moved on price, but the
next time it seemed more like “It is what it is.” We didn’t ask for a discount or anything, but it just felt like the first guy wanted our
business more. It’s just a thing in retail, you want to feel like you’ve made the right purchase, and some make you feel like that
while others don’t.
There are no improvements that I feel that they need to make; they were pretty good . They were
very helpful. There was a young guy who recommended something for a room I was looking for, and it was a fine
recommendation. They came and they laid it down and there were no problems. They laid it for me and they came in clean and
tidy, then they left. The whole situation was easy.

We preferred them to the others that we went to. The others were alright but the people at Carpet
Court just seemed to come across as a bit more genuine. We felt more comfortable with them for some reason and I think in
the end we liked some of their choices a bit better too. They were just nice and friendly. They were informative; they were very
knowledgeable and were able to give me some really good advice, they didn’t seem like salesmen so much, they just seemed
like carpet experts if you know what I mean. They weren’t trying to sell the most expensive items in the store, they wanted me to
get the best possible product for the budget that I had
Everything was spot on. We did have a little drama and he came down and had a look at it for us,
he was prepared to fix it; there were some scratches on some tiles that had been laid, so he went out of his way to come down
and have a look at it when I rang him about it. We ended up leaving them but he gave me the options. He said that it would
probably not look any better to redo it because of the other mess it would be made but he said that it was up to me and he would
happily redo it for me if I wanted and if I thought it would make a difference . You can’t fault that. His service was a ten out of ten.
It was just a little incident and he was quite happy to solve it so I was really happy with the way he handled it. He also said that if
there were any more problems to let him know and he would fix it up.
They had a pleasant manner. How they dealt with us was very good. They didn’t pressure us in
any way. They were just nice to deal with. They gave us plenty of information and plenty of time to make our decision about
what we wanted. We wanted to go away and think about it and come back and they were happy to let us do that . They didn’t try
and make us buy something right then and there.
He was a lovely guy and he was very polite. I made a joke about giving me a free coffee and it
went straight over his head, but he was still really polite even though he thought I was serious. The prices are very fair I think
and they have a good range to choose from. I also bought blinds from them and I’m really happy with those too.
I think they are good. When I went into the store there was this nice coffee table set up with
chairs around it so it was very welcoming and it was a natural place to sit and go through things with the guy in there. It’s a little
thing but I think that’s a nice touch. I also like that they are doing these feedback surveys because it shows that they really care
about their customers and their business. They were very friendly and helpful; the man I dealt with asked me lots of questions
about what my needs were so he was really good, he wasn’t just trying to sell me the most expensive thing.
I just got good service and they got back to me quickly, so I had no complaints . When they said
they were coming, they came on time. There was one occasion where he wasn’t able to make it, but he called me to let me
know; he just didn’t not turn up. I have no complaints about the installations either.
They had what we wanted so that was the main thing. We did go and talk to their opposition too,
but we just liked their attitude better and the stuff that they had to sell was slightly better too I think . They had better quality and a
better range. I also think their prices were better. Their attitude was better in that they were just a bit friendlier; they were happy
to talk through ideas with us and they seemed more like friend you were discussing it with, rather than a salesperson.
They were just good to deal with, the bloke that installed the carpet was a nice fellow . They were
great to talk to, they explained everything to us really well; they explained different types of flooring and they explained
everything about how the installation process worked. The installer was a nice friendly fellow, he was very easy to go on with
and he worked very efficiently from the time that he got here until when the time that he left . The job was done really well too; it
was completed in the time they said it would take and the quality of work was fantastic, it looks excellent, they’re very
experienced and good at what they do.
I was doing my father in law’s house and they helped me choose all the colours that would look
good in there. He came out to the house and we chose them together. The contractor they used, I was bit disappointed with
them. There had been a little part of the floor that had given way, and they had just put the carpet over it . I felt they should have
told me and let me know that it was like that and not put the carpet over something that obviously needed repairing. I had a
builder go and fix it, and they had to rip up the carpet which was disappointing, but when I rang Carpet Court they did have the
contractors go out and put the carpet back down.
They were very helpful, I thought that they did their job very efficiently when they hard to work
hard to get the product we required, and when they installed it they did a damn good job. It was carpet tiles that we got and the
tiles were the nominated product for the commercial job we were doing. There was a delay on the product but we needed it
urgently and they got it as soon as possible, so it was a succuss. They did a really good job of the installation; they got the work
done in a good amount of time and everything was done to a really high standard, it looks excellent now that it’s finished. I was
really impressed with the whole experience, I’d definitely use them again in the future if I needed to.
I think they did a good job. The whole thing from beginning to end was good. The guys that laid
the floor coverings for us did a great job; it looked terrific when they were done and there was no mess for me to clean up. They
were pleasant; they were nice men to deal with, they smiled and they were cheerful. I made them a coffee while they were there
and they said thank you and acted as if I was being extra nice to them when to me it was just a normal thing to do, they were
really grateful.
They were very helpful, in particular they were helpful when it came to selection . They gave me
samples of carpet to take home and try out; I was able to take them home and have a look at them in different rooms and
different lights to get a good idea of what they would look like, that was really helpful, especially when it came to colour . They
gave me good advice on the different carpets and so on; they explained the differences in the different types and how each of
them would wear and which ones were suitable for different rooms . For example, one was more appropriate for a bedroom
which was different for the one they recommended for the living room which is a more high traffic area .
They were helpful and friendly. They came and gave us a quote of what we wanted and they did
what we asked, which was to get us a quote on removing lino and then laying new lino. They were just easy to talk to. We
thought the quotes were alright so we went ahead, and the installers did everything they had to do efficiently .
They were just really knowledgeable and helpful with their advice . I was concerned about pilling so
they advised me on which carpets were least likely to have that problem. They were able to tell me which ones would wear more
than others, or more quickly than others. They asked me about where I was going to put it. They gave me advice on what would
be most suitable for the areas that I wanted to carpet and they also asked me about how those areas got used or how much use
they got so they could give me advice on that too.
Everything was very good. The people were friendly and they assisted me with everything. The
guys that laid the carpet were quick and efficient. I think they were contractors, but they were wonderful representatives of the
company anyway.
Their attitudes, their customer service and their workmanship were all excellent . They just make
you feel so welcome. Every question that we asked got answered. They were just so helpful with everything like information and
advice. We weren’t left in the dark about anything; they were honest, upfront and thorough .
They do a good job at laying carpet; they were obviously very experienced with what they do and
they were very thorough with the installation, they did it in a really good amount of time and the quality of the work was perfect,
there was no marks or scratches or daggy ends anywhere. The organisation with delivery times and the way they did the work,
they did a great job, it looks good. They organised everything and it was on time. The guys in the office are good, they were very
helpful and friendly; they gave us great advice and suggestions about what carpet would be best for us, they showed us heaps
of different samples and talked us through the differences between them .
We especially liked dealing with the carpet layers. They were very efficient and I liked the work that
they did, we will be definitely be ordering more carpet from them in the future. They were efficient, very polite, and they did just
such an excellent job of laying the carpet. They were quick, they got into the job straight away, and just did a really good job . I
am very pleased with how it looks; there’s no marks or scratches, it looks like a professional did it! I went in and the young fellow
let me bring home as many samples as I wanted to compare and see what I like, I found that really helpful; I didn’t know how
different colours can look under different lights, it was great that they let me take them home to compare them myself, there was
no pressure or anything like that at all, they just wanted to help me make the best possible decision
They were just very efficient; when they said they were going to be there they were there, and they
kept up with communication. From the day that I went in the store to see them, through the quoting and installation they were
always on time. They came out within 5 business days to come and give me a quote. They were very helpful in the store; they
advised me on the qualities of different carpets and gave me plenty of samples to take home . The installation was very efficient,
and they cleaned up after themselves really well, they didn’t leave a mess.
We were happy with them. There were no problems at all. Everything went smoothly. The price
was good; we were able to stay in our budget and they were able to meet our needs within our price range. They had some
good choices in different price ranges; they had lots of options and a good range so we were able to find everything that we
were looking for in the one place which was convenient. The service was good, it was very fast and efficient; when we went to
the shop the salesperson came and greeted us with a smile straight away and gave us some really good advice on what carpet
would be best for our house.
The service was very good; they were nice to deal with, they were very kind and polite and friendly,
they didn’t speak down to me at all. Sometimes as a single woman of a certain age you can be overlooked in shops but they
were very attentive and they didn’t disregard me or speak down to me in any way. They treated me like a valued customer. They
said hello and they smiled and they acknowledged me when I entered their shop. The person I dealt with took me through the
store and showed me all of the different options that would suit me and my budget; they weren’t trying to sell me the most
expensive option, they actually recommended something that was cheaper than what I was looking at in the first place, which I
thought was really good
Everything they did was fine. They were polite and helpful and they knew what they were talking
about. They were able to answer all of our questions about the different types of carpet; they were able to answer our questions
about price, availability, durability, colours – just everything.
When the carpet layers came to our house there was a bit of a mix up with the days and they were
not that happy when they got here and realised that they could only do half a day and that they had to come back and do
another half a day on Monday. I think the fellow that organised it made a bit of a stuff up . Another thing that they did was they
pulled a door off when they put in some lino and they didn’t put it back on again and they didn’t tell us about it either, so when I
opened the laundry door it fell over. They could have at least mentioned that to us. They did do a good job on the flooring
though. They were a bit contrary the first day but they were fine by the end.
There is nothing really that they need to improve. They were pretty good. Their service was good
and everything was just good. They came when they said they were going to come and they were very efficient . They rang and
told us when they’d be here and they came at that particular time. It was good and it was easy to use them.
I don’t know what they could improve. I thought they were good and they were on the ball. They
knew what they were talking about and they knew their products well. They had a good idea of what products were good in
different parts of a house, like lino or carpet or floorboards . They just gave us so much information and really helped us make a
decision about what to put where.
I have just had a job that should have been done a couple of weeks ago. It wasn’t really his fault
though, he was having trouble getting a layer who was available to do the job. He could have improved by keeping me in the
loop a bit more I suppose; I never had much of an idea of what was going on. I had to keep ringing him, when it should be the
other way around.
There was a little bit of the carpet that after the instillation wasn’t quite right . It was where the
edges are, there was a little bit we had to tap down, but we managed to fix that ourselves, so it wasn’t a huge deal. Other than
that, it was a really good experience dealing with them. The guy who came was very efficient, pleasant, he got on with the job;
he got it done in the time that they quoted to us and the guy who did it was really friendly and easy to get along with. I found the
person who served us very helpful. He was happy to tell us about the different carpets that they had available and which one
would be best for what we wanted; their advice was really helpful.
I suppose that I never give a ten for anyone. The only thing that I didn’t get from him was a quote
in writing, a neighbour of mine really liked the colour but unfortunately I didn’t have it written down anywhere so I wasn’t able to
tell him what one we got. We had a really good experience, the people that we dealt with were very helpful; the guys that came
and installed it were excellent, I have already recommended them to a neighbour. He gave us a choice of quite a few carpets
within the range, and he was pretty quick in his response of coming out. He came in out virtually the next day. They installers
were very quick, they didn’t muck around, they got straight into it as soon as they got here and they were actually finished a lot
quicker than I thought they would. They did an excellent job too; everyone that has come over since has been really impressed
with it, I’ve had lots of really nice compliments from my friends and family.
An improvement would be getting their quotes out quicker. It’s never consistent, which is half of
the problem; sometimes it can take them three weeks and sometimes they do it in a couple of days. Obviously the faster the
better in my opinion. A couple of days is good, 24 hours would be better, it just depends on the job that I’m doing and what
pressures I’m under at the time. Regardless, three weeks is not a good timeframe for getting a quote.
They need to improve by getting back to people about when the carpet comes in . I always had to
chase them up and they weren’t proactive about contacting me at all. We were waiting for the carpet to come in and say they
said it was going to be in in two weeks, then we didn’t hear anything from them so we would have to ring them up and then they
would have to chase it up from there. They never rang us off their own backs.
